The best and most popular places are those photography locations which offer the perfect combination of colours, angles, moods and recognisable or iconic landmarks. A good photographer with a good eye can come up with various photos which capture the finest spots to give you those wedding pictures you will treasure for life.

Here are some of the most popular and our favourite locations around Sydney well loved by photographers and couples alike.

Sydney Opera House

Australia’s most famous building and among the world’s most widely recognised structures, The Opera House, is a great wedding photography location for all the good reasons. You can visit the Opera House, walk around 360 degrees of it and capture the most stunning wedding photos with the Sydney harbour right at the background.

Right in front of the structure, you can take in the harbor’s glistening waters with Fort Denison on your right, Harbour Bridge on the left and inn a short stroll, you can reach the Botanical Gardens. With this, you can practically take wedding photos everywhere and in every direction.  Alternatively, get on a boat and have it in the background from the water.

Harbour Bridge

Another iconic landmark in Australia, the Harbour Bridge never fails to make it to the list of photo rich locations around Sydney, especially among couples. The whole Sydney Harbour region is amazingly phenomenal and for some, this is simply among the best harbor regions in the whole world. As far as wedding photography opportunities are concerned, you will be spoiled when you are in the harbor as you can capture both the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge at the same time. Circular Quay

Vibrant and throbbing with activity all year round, Circular Quay is no doubt Sydney’s number one buzz place. The Quay is the main ferry terminus of the city, located right at the heart of Sydney Cove, which served as the founding place for Australia settlement. The Quay serves as a gateway which connects visitors to the major attractions in the city, including Sydney Harbour, Harbour Bridge, The Rocks and Opera House. This is what makes the Quay a favorite as you can capture practically all scenic views from this particular point.

Bondi Beach

Bondi, widely popular for its rolling surf and magnificent white sandy beach, is no doubt one of the most ideal locations not only for your wedding photography but also for your wedding ceremony and celebration. It doesn’t matter if you stand on the beach for the ceremony, walk on the sand with your loved one, capture your first ever pictures as a couple or gaze out on the ocean with your closest family and friends, Bondi Beach is the magnificent location for having the best photos you cannot simply get anywhere else.

Shakespeare’s Point & Neilsen Park Kiosk are also firm favourites for couples getting married, both as a ceremony location and for hosting a reception. It’s a pretty backdrop so also works real well for wedding photos too!
